Name the job
A CV is strong or weak for a particular role. Say which one, or paste the job ad. It changes what counts as a strength.
Paste the CV, ask for suggestions
Ask for three specific improvements and do the writing yourself. Your CV stays in your voice, and nothing gets added that you didn’t do.
Never let it invent numbers
A result like “grew sales by 30%” only helps if it’s true. If a line needs a number, leave a blank and put in the real one.
For the cover letter, give it your best facts
Without them you get a template. In our follow-up test, the one-line request “write a cover letter for a marketing job” came back with [Company Name] and [X]% left to fill in. Your facts are what make it yours.
