A one-line request gets you a template full of brackets. Four things in the prompt get you an email.
What to put in the prompt
Who it’s for. Your landlord, a client who is waiting on you, your team. The AI writes very differently for each.
What happened. In your own words, with the facts. If you already have notes or a rough version, paste them in.
What you want. More time, a smaller increase, a polite no, a confirmed date. Say it, or the AI picks for you.
Tone and length. “Polite and firm, under 150 words, ready to send.” Without a length you often get a page.
Leave a blank for what only you know
The new date, the amount, the reason. Write [new date] and fill it in yourself, instead of letting the AI invent one that looks right and isn’t.
